Abstract

Genital external hygiene especially during menstruation often neglected by women. An infection caused by a bad hygiene during menstruation disease could cause reproductive organs, so it needs a good knowledge on health production in adolescent girls in order to avoid of an illness reproduction .Increased knowledge can be done by health education by using media booklet . The study on the students of introduction in Sma N 1 Sine Kabupaten Ngawi known still low knowledge of Genital hygiene external The purpose of this research is to know the influence of health education using booklets in improving knowledge adolescent about Genital hygiene external at SMAN 1 Sine Kabupaten Ngawi. The kind of research this is quantitative research. Design study use experimental pretest and methods post test and post test one group design .The population research is student who PMR ( youth red cross ) activity at SMAN 1 Sine Kabupaten Ngawi a total of 34 students .The sampling method of using techniques total of sampling .Instrument research use the questionnaire knowledge, media health education using booklet .Data analysis using one test sample test .The results of the study known pre test 67,6 % knowledgeable low and 32,4 % knowledge with average 12,03 .The results of post test known 76,5 % in good category and 23.5 % f respondents with fair category , the average in post test 17,4 . Statistical testing one sample test obtained value = 0,001 p .Conclusion: education health use booklets influence increase knowledge adolescent girls about Genital external hygiene Keyword: education health, Genital external hygiene, knowledge,booklet. student
