Abstract

This research aims to find out students enhancement at Kindergarten of Gonilan Kartasura in the academic year of 2016/2017 using the method of demonstration. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this research are students of group B of Kindergarten of Gonilan in the academic year of 2016/2017. This research is conducted in two cycles within five meetings. The research procedure consists of four stages, including action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The data of students independence and teaching and learning process using method of demonstration are collected by observation, interview, and documentation. This research uses triangulation by collecting data from various sources. Based on the results in cycle I and cycle II, it shows that there is an enhancement of students independence of group B students of kindergarten of Gonilan Kartasura in the academic year of 2016/2017. Before conducting the cycles, the students result reaches 33,11%, followed by reaching 58,11% in the cycle I, and 78,89% in the cycle II. It can be concluded that method of demonstration can enhance the independence of group B students of kindergarten of Gonilan Kartasura in the academic year of 2016/2017.
