Abstract
The Temanggung District is one district in Central Java which has 143 cases during 4 years (1997-2011), which recorded 80 people had been death. The research type was the observational study with spatial analysis and qualitative approach where data collection is done by interviewing respondents. A study population 172 patients (91 HIV and 81 AIDS). The samples were 143 case because 28 cases does not reside in the study area. The purpose of this study was to describe the distribution of the spread of HIV / AIDS and the prediction capabilities of UPK in dealing with HIV / AIDS. Spatial analysis describes that the HIV / AIDS cases spread in 17 districts, only 3 districts that it had zero case. On the other hand, the diseases were in the range of 1-5 km of UPK (90%), so that the existing UPK can be used as the first reference in dealing with HIV / AIDS in the Temanggung area.
