Abstract
Gastric disorders in this study include dyspepsia, gastritis, tukak stresss and peptic ulcer. Drug Related Problems (DRPs) is undesirable events experienced by patients related with drug therapy that can interfere of success therapy. This study was conducted to determine the incidence of DRPs with a dose inaccuracy category that includes under dose and overdose and drug interactions in patients with gastric disorders in Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten Hospital in 2015. DRPs in this study are potential DRPs between gastric disorders drugs with other drugs that used by patient. This is a observational research with retrospective data collection. Data was analyze descriptively. Samples were collected with purposive sampling method. The data obtained were 44 samples. The data were analyzed based on literature. Drug Information Handbook 2009, and British National Formulary 2011 to analyze dose, Stockley’s Drug Interaction 2008, Drug Interaction Facts 2012, drug interaction checker (www.drugs.com, and www.medscape.com) to analyze drug interactions. Out of 44 patients, the result showed there were 42 patients (95.45%) with under dose and overdose category, 30 patients (68,18%) with potential drug interactions category. The level of severity of potential drug interactions were 4,54% major, 61,36% moderate, and 34,09% minor. The mechanism of interactions of potential drug interactions were 84,08% pharmacokinetic mechanism, 15,90 % unknown mechanism. Keywords: DRPs, drug interactions, overdose, stomach disorders, underdose.
