Abstract
The purpose of this study is twofold. (1) Describing language 5W + 1H filler component in a trip report in the newspaper Republika editions from 2015 to 2016. (2) Describing the implementation of the language linkage filler component 5W + 1H on a trip report in the newspaper Republika 2015-2016 edition as learning junior class VIII. Type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques in this study using advanced techniques such as refer to the technical note. The data analysis was conducted using the method Shared with basic techniques: Techniques For Direct Element (BUL). The results of the research that the text of the report in the newspaper Republika trip 2015-2016 edition does not always meet all of the components. Components that are always present in the discourse of the travel report is what, who, where, why, and how, while the components which do not always exist in the discourse is a trip report when components. Data discourse contained the complete component includes data 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Data discourse which has not complied with the complete component includes data discourse 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14. Results this analysis can be implemented as a teaching material in class VIII SMP.
