Abstract
Motorcycle safety devices are functioning equipment securing the motorcycle from theft when there is no supervision of their owners. Motorcycle safety device consists of two types: electric and non electric and engine. Examples of electric motorcycle safety is to use an alarm, the non-electric uses the steering wheel lock. Electric motorcycle safety device is an effective security in performing its functions. Electrik safety device easily developed evident from many manufacturers that create electric motorcycle safety devices are a variety of models and the working principles eg using sensor vibrating alarm. But now, the safety device can not be reliable because if the owner of the motorcycle in a state far from the bike, the owner can not monitor the motorcycle. Manufacture of motorcycle safety equipment with Arduino system is designed to secure a motorcycle with an effective security system because it is equipped with a GPS (Global Positioning System) is used to track the coordinates of the motorcycle without being limited distances. This tool uses a GSM (Global System for Mobile) module as the communication between the owner and a safety device so the owner can monitor the bike from a distance. Communication owners with tools using SMS (Short Message Service). SMS in the form of passwords that have been programmed into the arduino and if the password is sent to the mobile phone numbers GSM module mounted on the tool works in accordance with the password. Results from the study show the tool works well. The first trial when a password is sent to turn the motorcycle contact you instantly contact a motorcycle life. Selanjutknya password is sent via sms to turn off the motorcycle engine then the engine died. When the password is sent to the location of the tool installed on the motorcycle, then in 2 seconds the tool sends sms location coordinates shaped in the form of a link to google maps. When the password is sent in the form of sms wrong, the tool does not respond. This tool uses the keypad is used to enter data via a password to unlock the security system and the results are in accordance with the design.
