Abstract

This study aims to find the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and the ratio of Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) on Return On Assets (ROA) of the state-owned banks registered at Bank Indonesia (BI) in 2010 to 2014 period. Return On Assets (ROA) indicates the level of profitability of a company. The population is entire state-owned banks listed in Bank Indonesia (BI). This research is using purposive sampling technique, involving 3 state-owned banks in Indonesia as samples. Analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis. The result of this study shows that: (1) Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) has no significant effect on Return On Assets (ROA), (2) Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) have significant effects on Return On assets (ROA), (3) Ratio of Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) have significant effect on Return on assets (ROA), (4) Capital Adequacy ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit ratio (LDR), and the ratio of Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) together have a significant effect on Return on Assets (ROA).
