Abstract

In the era of globalization and information technology as it has been and is ongoing, the role of higher education is very important in the development of its students to achieve their dreams and optimism the future desired by each individual in encountering various problems that occur. Such capabilities will stimulate thoughts resilient and able to compete for jobs in the middle of the working world competition is getting tighter. Through psychodrama techniques given expected to increase future optimism of students and thinking about the future of individuals is more positive. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of psychodrama in improving optimism in the future of students. The informants as many as 14 people were selected by purposive sampling, where subjects were divided into an experimental group and a control group with the characteristics of students of faculty of psychology Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta force 2013. This research method using the experimental method post only control group design. The results of this research note Kolmogorov-Sminov value of significance (2-tailed) (p) = 0.541, which means that there is no influence of psychodrama to increased future optimism of the students. Lack of self-disclosure on any subject in articulating and communicating the problem becomes a major factor in psychodrama no effect on increasing future optimism of the students. Besides the lack of seriousness of the players also affect their nets into a psychodrama process is not conducive Keyword :Future Optimism, Psychodrama
