Abstract
One of the main components of the power generation system design consideration is the type of generator. The generator is a machine that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. Electricity is used to meet the needs of the general public, the electrical equipment used by the general public in the form of electricity 1-phase. So it is more appropriate to use the generator output voltage 1-phase premises. 1 induction generator design phase of 3-phase induction motor by changing the function of 3-phase induction motor becomes a generator induction phase 1 by taking the R phase and the S phase induction motors 3-phase delta connected and to amplify the output voltage plus the capacitor. Each test 1-phase induction generator using a capacitor with a size 48, 56, and 64 μF. 1-phase induction generator testing using a resistive load such as incandescent bulb size 5 Watt, 10 Watt and 60 Watt, as well as inductive loads such as fan size of 18 Watt. Data - Data is then analyzed. The test results 1 phase induction generator without load indicates that a stable voltage value rises according to the rise and fall when the rotational speed is increased capacitor size. Frequency generated steady rise in accordance with the increase in rotational speed and down when the size of the capacitor is increased because the capacitor becomes a burden for the generator. Resistive load testing on the rotational speed and the excitation capacitor is fixed by adding a greater burden, the rotational speed to be down, it resulted in the frequency and the voltage drop or voltage drop. In the inductive load with the size of load power remains, the capacitor has two functions, namely to help the excitation generator and supply an inductive load. The influence of reactive power on the capacitor resulting rotational speed to be down so that the voltage and frequency down. At 1400 RPM rotational speed - 1550 RPM with a 48 μF capacitor generate excitation frequency 47 Hz - 51 Hz, the voltage of 145.4 V - 230 V on resistive load with 48 μF capacitor excitation, load 5 Watt produces a frequency 47 Hz - 50 Hz, voltage 142.4 V - 216 V, with load 65 Watt generate the frequency 47.4 Hz - 49 Hz, the voltage of 117.7 V - 185 V. At inductive load rotary speed of 1400 rpm and 1 550 rpm with 48 μF capacitors generate excitation frequency 47.4 Hz - 51 Hz, voltage 128 V - 218 V. Excitation 64 μF capacitor generates a frequency 41.6 Hz - 49.2 Hz, voltage 104 V - 188 V.
