Abstract
Background: Level of knowledge among teenagers influnce attitude and behaviour in food preferences.Giving a nutrient education about how to eat balanced nutrient in order to get a good nutrient status so that the quality of life will be better is one of good way. Purpose: The aims of study is to investigate the differences between knowledge of nutrition before and after educated using media video in SMP Negeri 2 Kartasura Method: Quasy experiment design with one group pretest-posttest plan was used in this study. Stratified random sampling used as technical sampling was in addition , this study used 66 students in grade VII as a sample. Level of nutrition knowledge was measured with questionnaire. T-test statistic approach was used to know the level of differences between two variabels.Result: The study shows that the proportion of students who had good nutrition knowledge were 33,3%, while students who had bad nutrition knowledge were 66,7% before educated However, the percentage rose significantly after giving education which is the proportion of student who had a good nutrition knowledge were 84,8%, while, the student who had bad knowledge only 15,2%. The paired-sample T test obtained value p=0,000. Conclusion: Overall, there are any differences of knowledge before and after educated with video media.
