Abstract
The study is to reveal how Artorius’ creative power influences his personality. The objective of the study is to analyze the film based on the structural analysis and individual psychological analysis. The study is a qualitative study. The object of the study is David Franzoni’s King Arthur first released in the United states on June 28, 2004. The data sources are divided into two, namely primary data source and secondary data source. The primary data source is film King Arthur written by David Franzoni. The secondary data source are the other sources related to the analysis such as internet, books and other references which are related to this study. The method of data collection is library research. The technique of data analysis is descriptive analysis. The result of this study is as follows : Firstly, the stuctural elements of the film present a unity. It appears in the exposition, complication, climax, and resolution of the story. Secondly, the psychological analysis shows the effort to freedom. Artorius and his knights have to go to final mission in the day of their freedom from Roman Empire. The mission is to rescue an important Roman family, which includes a good son of the Pope from impending capture by the invaliding Saxons, led by their chief Cerdic and his son Cyhnric. Saxons come to Britain in a day where all Samartian Knights get their freedom letter. Artorius has to fight Saxons, but it is impossible to join with his Knights. Finally Artorius keeps himself off from his Knights and fight Saxons with Woads, then Saxons are defeated. Finally, the psychological analysis shows that the human factor and social factor influence the person character.
