Abstract
This research is aimed to know describe the ways or process to improve vocabulary in learning English, to know the students’ participation during English teaching learning process by using song students’ vocabulary to describe the achievement of the students’ vocabulary in their test result. In this research, song is used to improve students’ vocabulary. This research was carried out at LPK Mitra English Course (MEC), especially in class IV that consist of 45 students, To collect the required data. The writer did observation and gave test. There were three cycles in this action research in which each cycle used pre-test and post-test. She analyzed the data by comparing the result of pre-test and post-test. Based on the research finding, it can be concluded that result of the students’ achievement showed that song in teaching vocabulary could improve the students’ participation and achievement better. The students’ score was getting better in each cycle. It indicated that improving students’ vocabulary using songs is successful.
