Abstract
This research paper studies the teaching learning process of ESP to the second year student of SMK NEGRI KLATEN in 2006/2007 academic year The data come from the narratives of the student and teacher activities of teaching speaking on business class at second year of SMK NEGRI 1 KLATEN. The objects of this research is teaching English for business to the second year students of SMK NEGRI 1 KLATEN in 2006/2007. In gathering the data the writer uses observation and interview. The crucial objectives of this research are the first is to describe the process of teaching ESP speaking, the source of Material, techniques of teaching learning, and problem faced by the teacher as well as the ways of the teacher to improve the problem. The result of the research paper is, first that the objectives of teaching speaking for business English class are the student’s ability in mastering vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. Second is that the source of material of teaching speaking is appropriate with the 2004 Curriculum of English for vocational school. teacher find difficulties in finding the material, and problem in finding various type of techniques.
