Abstract
The main objective of this study is to find out and to describe the constituent of Noun Phrase construction that are mostly used in the story of children at the Intensive English Course Bulletin. The object of this research is all Noun Phrases constituents that used in the story of children at Intensive English Course Bulletin. The researcher takes 43 sentences in a story of the children at the Intensive English Course Bulletin in analyzing the data, the writer used descriptive qualitative method. By this method the writer, describe the Noun Phrases constructions that used in story of the children at the Intensive English Course Bulletin and find the Noun Phrases constructions that mostly used in the story of children at the Intensive English Course Bulletin viewed from N-Bar analysis. Based on the result, the writer can draw some conclusion that are based on the types the Noun Phrases construction in the story of children at the Intensive English Course Bulletin there are found 48 of Noun Phrases. 40 are Appositive Noun Phrase, with 25 Simple Attributive Noun Phrases and 15 Complex Attributive Noun Phrases. 1 is Appositive Noun Phrases, and 7 are Coordinative Noun Phrases. The construction of Appositive Noun Phrases are consists of 25 Simple Attributive Noun Phrases and 15 Complex Attributive Noun Phrases. The construction of simple Attributive Noun Phrases are consists of 22 of D + N and 3 of N + N’. the construction of Appositive Noun Phrase consists of D + N’, and seven coordinative Noun Phrases consist of N’ + Conjunction + N’. The conjunction in here are ‘And’.
