Abstract

This research paper is about the teaching- learning process of English for elementary student in Primagama Pajang Surakarta. The objective of the research is to describe the teaching- learning process of English for elementary students in PRIMAGAMA Pajang Surakarta. The data of the teaching- learning process in Primagama are in the forms of event that is the teaching and learning English in natural setting, informant; that is The English teacher, document and those materials or others such as handbooks, the list of student’s pa etc. In collecting the data, the writer uses observation in the classroom and interview method. Furthermore, in analyzing the data, the writer uses descriptive qualitative method and uses non-statistic analysis to analyze the data. The result of the data analysis shows that the teaching- learning process of English in Primagama Pajang Surakarta is effective and successful. The teaching learning process of English in Primagama Pajang Surakarta using Educational Ethnography study has some points to discuss; teacher’s role, learner’s role, and the procedure of classroom activities.
