Abstract
Early marriage <20 years of age is one of the risk factors that can affect children nutritional status, including stunting he physical, psychological, and socio economic unpreparedness of mothers has the potentional to impact the nutritional fulfilment of toddlers. This study ains to determine the relationship between early marriage and stunting in infants aged 24-59 months in tanggungharjo, grobogan regency. This study used a cross sectional design with a sample 100 mothers who had infants aged 24-59 months in tanggungharjo. Data were collected through questionnaires and antropometric measurements of height fo age (hfa). Data analysis used the spearman rank correlation test with the help of spps software. The results showed that (83,1%) of women aged 15-20 years were married, while (17,2%) were aged 21-22 2 years. The percentage of stunted toddlers from mothers who married early was (63,4%) while in the 21-22 age group who married (17,2%) were not stunted. Based on the spearman corellation test, a significant relationship was found between early marriage and the incide of stunting in toddlers aged 24-59 mounths in tanggungharjo (p<0,05). In addition the spearman correlation coefficient value of 0,617 shows that the streght of the relationship between the two variables is classified as strong. It can be conclude that there is a relationship between the two variables is classified as strong. It can be conclude that there is a realtionship between early marriage and stunting in todlers aged 24-59 mounths.
