Abstract

Rumah Tahfidz Bina Insan Qurani is an Al-Qur'an educational institution currently facing challenges related to limited physical facilities and suboptimal regional planning. With the growing number of students, the need for regional development has become increasingly critical to ensure that learning activities and daily operations run more effectively and comfortably. This study aims to design a revitalization strategy that is practical to implement, focusing not only on spatial function but also on environmental sustainability aspects. It is expected that the designed area will support the creation of a healthy and integrated learning environment. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, involving direct field observations to assess existing conditions, literature studies related to the eco-pesantren concept, visual documentation, and interviews with stakeholders to identify needs and expectations for regional development. The primary approach employed is the permaculture concept, which emphasizes mutually supportive relationships between humans, buildings, and the environment. This approach was selected for its ability to minimize negative environmental impacts while creating a more sustainable system. The design results focus on productive vegetation management, the provision of green open spaces, and an independent water management system. Furthermore, the regional arrangement is executed through clearer zoning, ensuring that educational areas, student housing, and worship facilities are well-organized yet interconnected. Through the application of the eco-pesantren concept combined with green architecture principles, this revitalization is expected to create a more comfortable, lush, and conducive environment for learning. Beyond serving as a place for Al-Qur'an memorization, this area is envisioned to become an exemplary educational environment that prioritizes sustainability and provides benefits to the surrounding community.
