Abstract
This study aims to identify and analyze the conformity of the investigation process conducted in a case of anarchistic acts committed by a juvenile at the Sragen Regional Police with the applicable laws and regulations. This issue is based on an anarchistic incident that occurred in Sragen Regency on August 30, 2025. The incident resulted in damage to public facilities at the Sragen Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Office. Following a police investigation, it was established that one of the perpetrators involved in the incident was a minor. Under positive law, investigators are authorized and obligated to examine criminal offenders. However, when the offender is a juvenile, there are specific procedures and different treatment standards that must be applied during the investigation process. This research employs an empirical juridical approach with a descriptive research design. The data were collected through library research and field research, including interviews with the Head of the Women and Children Protection Unit of the Sragen Regional Police. The collected data were subsequently analyzed using qualitative methods. The results of the study indicate that in handling cases of anarchistic acts involving juveniles, the Sragen Regional Police, through its Women and Children Protection Unit, conducted investigations in accordance with the Child Protection Law and the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Law. In carrying out its duties, the Women and Children Protection Unit prioritized the best interests of the child. Based on the provisions of the Child Protection Law and the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Law, the Women and Children Protection Unit collaborated with the Surakarta Correctional Center (BAPAS) to obtain a diversion settlement of the case, thereby ensuring the best interests of the child.
