Abstract

The rapid development of the tourism sector, along with the increasing public demand for nature-based recreation, has given rise to tourism concepts that are not only entertaining but also educational and sustainable. Selo District in Boyolali Regency has significant potential for development as an agro-edutourism area, supported by its highland geography, cool climate, and high horticultural agricultural productivity. This final project aims to design an agro-edutourism area in Selo using an ecological architecture approach that emphasizes the balance between people, buildings, and the natural environment. This approach is implemented through optimal utilization of natural resources, the use of environmentally friendly materials, and spatial design that is responsive to local climatic conditions. The resulting design is an agro-edutourism area that integrates agricultural education, recreation, and direct interaction with nature, such as farming, harvesting, and processing agricultural products. Supporting facilities include educational areas, recreation spaces, restaurants, and glamping facilities designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment. This design is expected to strengthen the attractiveness of the tourism sector, support the local economy, whilesimultaneously maintaining environmental sustainability
