Abstract
Warehouse layout arrangement has an important role in supporting the efficiency of material movement and storage space utilization. Wardah Food is a UMKM engaged in the Ampyang (peanut candy) industry, which still experiences unorganized material placement and inefficient warehouse arrangement. This study aims to design a warehouse layout using the Class Based Storage Policy method. Materials were classified using the ABC classification based on movement frequency. Data collection included warehouse layout, movement frequency, storage area requirement, and material transfer distance. Furthermore, a layout improvement simulation was carried out using Blocplan software. The result showed that peanuts and palm sugar were included in category A because they had the highest movement frequency. The proposed layout reduced the total material transfer distance from 1.221 centimeters to 526 centimeters and improved warehouse space utilization efficiency.
