Abstract

NanaCakes is one of the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in cake sales, but until now the ordering process is still carried out through instant messaging applications such as WhatsApp. This method causes a number of problems, including errors in recording, less than optimal service, and an ordering flow that has not been well organized. Considering these problems, this study aims to develop a website-based cake ordering information system for UMKM NanaCakes. System development refers to the Waterfall method, which consists of five stages, namely requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The developed system has two user roles, namely admin and customer, with main features in the form of a digital product catalog, online ordering, a pre-order (PO) payment scheme, incoming order notifications for admin, and an order status tracking feature for customers. System testing was carried out through two methods, namely Black Box Testing and the System Usability Scale (SUS). The Black Box Testing results on 12 test scenarios showed that all system features functioned as expected and were declared valid. Meanwhile, the SUS testing results on 35 respondents produced an average score of 72.21, which is classified as Acceptable with Grade Scale B (Good). These findings confirm that the developed system has a good level of usability, is user friendly, and is able to encourage efficiency in the ordering and order management process at UMKM NanaCakes.
