Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged the digitalization of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). However, some SMEs have not yet fully implemented digital technologies, one of which is Batik Asyifa SME. Currently, inventory records are still managed manually using notebooks, which may result in inaccurate stock data, delays in updating information, and difficulties in preparing reports. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a web-based stock management application to minimize the limitations of the previous manual recording process. The application provides several features, including stock-in and stock-out recording, stock monitoring, and report generation. The system was developed using the Waterfall method, which consists of the requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance phases. The application was implemented using the PHP programming language with the Laravel framework and the MySQL database and was evaluated using Black Box Testing and the System Usability Scale (SUS). The results indicate that the developed system simplifies the recording of stock-in and stock-out transactions, supports stock monitoring, and enables users to monitor stock availability more easily. The Black Box Testing results showed that all system functions operated according to the specified requirements and that all test cases were successfully passed. Meanwhile, the System Usability Scale (SUS) evaluation achieved a score of 80.89, indicating that the system has good usability and is acceptable to users.
