Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of using an 8-hole injector with fuel pump pressure variations of 2.5 bar, 3.5 bar and 4 bar on the performance of a 150cc four-stroke automatic motorcycle engine. The main parameters tested include torque, power, and specific fuel consumption (KBBS) with Pertamax RON 92 fuel. Testing was carried out using a dynotest tool to obtain power and torque data, as well as a KBBS test tool to calculate fuel consumption. The results showed that the use of an 8-hole injector with a variation of the fuel pump pressure of 3.5 bar can significantly improve engine performance compared to standard conditions. The highest torque was obtained at a fuel pump pressure variation of 3.5 bar of 24.77 Nm at 2756 rpm, while the highest power was 9.9 HP at 2912 rpm. However, the fuel pump pressure variation of 2.5 had the most efficient fuel consumption with a KBBS of 0.12882 kg/HP.hour. It can be concluded that increasing fuel pump pressure can improve power and torque performance, but also increase fuel consumption. While decreasing fuel pump pressure can reduce power and torque performance, resulting in more efficient fuel consumption.
