Abstract
The rapid population growth in North Jakarta increases the demand for vertical housing; however, the construction of high-rise buildings in this region faces serious challenges due to high seismic activity and the predominance of soft soil. This study designs a 7 story apartment building structure in North Jakarta using the Special Moment Resisting Frame (SMRF) system in accordance with SNI 1726:2019 and SNI 2847:2019, utilizing three dimensional modeling via ETABS 22 with the response spectrum method. The materials used are concrete with a compressive strength of f'c = 30 MPa and reinforcing steel with a yield strength of fy = 420 MPa. Soil test results indicate an N-SPT of 7,346, classifying the location as Site Class SE with seismic parameters of SDS = 0,6618 g and SD1 = 0,6276 g, thus placing the building in Seismic Design Category D. Structural analysis proves that all safety requirements are met: a cumulative mass participation of >90% is achieved at the 5th mode, and the inter-story drift remains below the allowable limit set by the SNI standard. The dimensions of the upper structure elements include K1 columns (700×700 mm), K2 columns (600×600 mm), primary beams (400×700 mm), secondary beams (250×550 mm), as well as floor and roof slabs with a thickness of 120 mm. The substructure utilizes precast concrete driven pile foundations with a diameter of 450 mm at a depth of 18 m, pile caps measuring 2400×2400×1500 mm, and tie beams of 400×700 mm. The overall design is declared to fulfill the strength, stiffness, and ductility requirements according to the applicable national standards.
