Abstract
Low student learning creativity remains a problem in the learning process, often influenced by the use of teacher-centered learning models, resulting in suboptimal student participation and involvement. This study aims to describe the application of the PBL model in improving student learning creativity at MTs N 6 Boyolali Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type. The research subjects consisted of teachers and students at MTs N 6 Boyolali Regency. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. The research instrument was the researcher as the main instrument supported by observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation. Data validity was obtained through source triangulation and technical triangulation. Data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the application of the PBL learning model can gradually improve student learning creativity. At the first meeting, the application of the PBL model obtained an average score of 2.25 with a less than good category. At the second meeting, the average score increased to 3.15 with a good category. Furthermore, in the third meeting, the average score increased again to 3.70, categorized as very good. Thus, the PBL learning model has been proven to enhance student learning creativity through student-centered learning activities, problem-solving, group discussions, and presentations of learning outcomes at MTs N 6 Boyolali Regency.
