Abstract
The development of information technology in the digital era has had a major impact on various business sectors, including vehicle rental transportation services. Husen Trans Car rental, located in Mireng, Trucuk, klaten, still uses manual methods for recording rental schedules and managing finances, such as WhatsApp chat records and manual bookkeeping, which often cause problems such as slow schedule checking, and a lack of clear information for customers. To address these problems, a web-based car rental scheduling and financial management system was designed using the Laravel framework. Laravel was chosen because of its comprehensive features, high level of security, and large user community, which support efficient system development. This system is focused on the rental owner and does not provide a specific application for customers, considering security factor such as the potential misuse of services when personal data is incomplete and the continued need for phone number verification through third-party applications. The system development method used was the waterfall method. To ensure system quality, testing was carried out using the Black Box method and System Usability Scale (SUS). The Black Box testing results showed that all system functions ran as expected, while the SUS testing produced an average score of 80.75, which falls into the Acceptable category, grade B, white an excellent rating. Based on these results, the system is considered feasible to use because it is able to support car rental operational activities in a more effective, efficient, and structure manner. This system is expected to simplify the scheduling process, minimize recording errors, improve service quality, and support decision-making for long-term business development.
