Abstract
Sexual harassment of women and children is a serious, growing problem that impacts the physical, psychological, and social well-being of victims. This requires comprehensive legal protection and recovery services. This issue highlights the crucial role of the state and relevant institutions in providing optimal protection and recovery for victims. The purpose of this study is to understand the legal protection provided to victims of sexual harassment and the recovery service mechanisms provided by the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Agency. The method used in this study is a normative juridical method with a statutory approach, utilizing primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials as sources of analysis. The results show that legal protection for victims is regulated in various regulations, particularly Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence and the Child Protection Law, which guarantee victims' rights. Relevant agencies play a crucial role as facilitators in providing integrated services, including legal assistance, medical and psychological rehabilitation, and social reintegration for victims. However, in its implementation, obstacles remain, such as low public awareness of reporting, limited human resources and facilities, and suboptimal coordination between agencies. Therefore, increased 1 synergy, strengthened service capacity, and public education are needed to ensure effective, sustainable, and equitable protection and recovery for victims.
