Abstract

Dr. Radjiman Street in Surakarta is one of the primary collector roads with a 2/2 TT lane type that connects the Tugu Lilin Intersection with the Jongke Intersection. This section has a strategic role in the mobility of goods and residents. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of traffic flow on this road section and model the relationship between traffic flow characteristic parameters using the Greenshield and Greenberg methods. Data used are traffic volume and vehicle speed. The results of the analysis show that the peak volume for the morning session at 06.30-07.30 peak volume value is 1784.75 pcu/hour and the afternoon session at 13.15-14.15 peak volume value is 1680.80 pcu/hour. The results of the Greenshield method modeling for the morning session obtained results of Qm = 2148.49 smp / hour, Dm = 121.31 smp / km, Vm = 17.71 km / hour and for the afternoon session obtained results of Qm = 1831.79 smp / hour, Dm = 88.52 smp / km, Vm = 20.69 km / hour. The Greenberg method for the morning session obtained results of Qm = 4690.19 smp / hour, Dm = 579.97 smp / km, Vm = 8.09 km / hour and for the afternoon session obtained results of Qm = 1936.83 smp / hour, Dm = 119.80 smp / km, Vm = 16.17 km / hour.
