Abstract

Apparently, it is irrefutable that there has been a huge alteration of feminine mindset within the society. Femininity is no longer confined to traditional norms but is being reshaped and redefined through social media platforms through the revisits of postfeminist. Hence this study would highlight the emerging trend of “feminine energy” that currently popular among Generation Z on social media. This study sees the objective to explores the representation and influence of feminine energy as portrayed by Shasa Zania that has been going on in the internet current days, a prominent digital creator on TikTok, and how her content established specific perceptions among Gen Z audiences. The urgency of this study lies in understanding how modern femininity is represented, and how social media can act as a tool for identity formation beyond stereotypical gender roles. Using qualitative approach, this study applies Social Representation Theory through in-depth content analysis from Shasa Zhania’s TikTok. At its core, this paper expected to contribute into a deeper understanding of how digital media participation shapes and constructs the interpretation of femininity among Generation Z within digital scope.
