Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors that lead individuals to engage in online gambling within online games, examine the Islamic perspective on such activities, and explore preventive measures from an Islamic viewpoint. The research employs a literature review method, analyzing various sources including journals, books, and other relevant publications. Findings indicate that the main factors contributing to online gambling in gaming include economic pressures, the search for entertainment, and the ease of access to gambling features within games. From an Islamic perspective, online gambling is strictly prohibited (haram), as it falls under the category of maisir or qimar. The recommended preventive measures emphasize the importance of Islamic education and the development of self-control (mujahadah al-nafs). This study is expected to serve as a foundational reference for further research and public awareness regarding hidden gambling elements in digital games.
