Abstract

Flooding is a disaster caused by several factors, including rainfall characteristics, land use changes, and river sedimentation. This study aims to analyze the comparison of flood hydrographs using the Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (SUH), ITB-1 Synthetic Unit Hydrograph, and HEC-HMS (SCS-CN SUH) in the Serang Watershed by considering land use conditions. Based on the analysis, the resulting unit hydrographs show peak discharges of 6.912 m³/s for the Nakayasu SUH, 3.142 m³/s for the ITB-1 SUH, and 2.977 m³/s for the SCS-CN SUH. Further analysis using design rainfall with return periods of 2, 5, 10, 25, and 50 years produced peak flood discharges for each method. The Nakayasu SUH generated peak discharges of 180.920 m³/s (2-year), 226.093 m³/s (5-year), 261.474 m³/s (10-year), 310.662 m³/s (25-year), and 351.121 m³/s (50-year). The ITB-1 SUH produced peak discharges of 108.741 m³/s, 135.892 m³/s, 157.157 m³/s, 186.721 m³/s, and 211.039 m³/s for the respective return periods. Meanwhile, the SCS-CN SUH yielded peak discharges of 104.079 m³/s, 130.068 m³/s, 150.442 m³/s, 178.719 m³/s, and 201.994 m³/s for the 2-, 5-, 10-, 25-, and 50-year return periods.
