Abstract

The economy and industry in Surakarta City showed a growth of 5.57%. This growth has made many companies seek strategic and representative workspaces but are hampered by limited land. Therefore, the construction of office buildings is one way to maximize the use of existing land. Building construction needs to pay attention to strength, stiffness and ductility, especially in areas with a high risk of earthquakes. This study aims to obtain the results of office building planning in Surakarta City that are guaranteed to be safe when receiving loads, especially earthquake loads in accordance with SNI 1726:2019 and SNI 2847:2019. The results of the study with the application of the Special Moment Resisting Frame Structure (SRPMK) show that the structure meets the earthquake safety requirements with a cumulative mass participation value above 90%. Inter-floor drift and P-Delta are safe and stable because they are below the specified permit limits. The optimum dimensions obtained for the main structure consist of columns measuring 800x800 mm and 700x700 mm, main beams measuring 350x700 mm, floor slabs measuring 130 mm, borepile foundations measuring 800 mm in diameter with a depth of 18 m, pilecaps measuring 6x4 m and 12x4 m with a thickness of 1.3 m.
