Abstract

Door access security is a crucial aspect in protecting assets and privacy, particularly in residential environments and small-scale institutions. Conventional locking systems have several limitations, such as being easily duplicated and lacking the ability to record user access activities. This study aims to develop a door access control system based on a local web server using the ESP32 microcontroller with a multifactor authentication method combining Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and fingerprint sensors. The system is designed using an MFRC522 RFID module, an AS608 fingerprint sensor, a solenoid door lock, and a web-based monitoring interface running directly on the ESP32. In addition, the system is equipped with Telegram notifications and MySQL database storage for real-time access logging. Experimental results indicate that the system performs authentication with high accuracy and an average response time of less than 1.5 seconds. The local web server operates reliably in displaying user data and access logs without dependence on external internet connectivity. The developed system provides a reliable, efficient, and lowcost security solution, making it suitable for practical and independent IoT-based door security applications.
