Abstract

Traditional safe security systems still mostly use conventional methods, making them vulnerable to the increasing number of thefts. This research aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based safe security system using the ESP32-CAM microcontroller as the main controller. The research methodology includes literature study, system design, component assembly, and device testing. The system integrates several key components: a 4×4 keypad for PIN authentication, an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor to detect door conditions, and a limit switch to detect physical lifting of the safe. Testing results show that the ultrasonic sensor can distinguish between normal and forced opening based on distance, with a threshold of <16 cm as the closed condition and >17 cm as the open condition. When valid access is provided via the keypad or the Blynk application, the system opens the door lock, and the ESP32-CAM automatically captures a photo of the person to be sent to the Telegram platform. However, if the safe is forced open or lifted without a valid procedure, the buzzer activates as an alarm and real-time notifications are sent to the user's device via the Blynk application. Overall, the system successfully increases the efficiency of remote monitoring and safe security.
