Abstract

The rapid development of information technology encourages educational institutions to continuously improve the quality of digital services. The Library of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), as a center of academic activities and information resources, does not yet have an integrated digital lost-and-found reporting system. The recording and searching processes are still conducted manually, resulting in inefficiency and potential data loss. Therefore, an information system named Ketemuin was designed and developed as a digital solution to record, manage, and search for lost items within the library environment. The system was developed using the Waterfall method, which includes requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. The application was built using React and Tailwind CSS for the frontend, Express.js for the backend, and MySQL as the database. The main features include a lost items list, search and filtering functions, and an administrator page for data management. Black-Box testing results indicate that the system functions properly, while System Usability Scale (SUS) testing obtained a score of 70.1, categorized as acceptable. The system is considered effective in improving efficiency and convenience in managing and searching for lost items
