Abstract

Problems in managing water tanks at home are often related to water filling and unmonitored water quality. The systems commonly used in homes today are mostly manual, which leads to water waste. Some homes use semi-automatic float-based systems that are often inaccurate because the floats and threads often clump. To address this problem, this study aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based water pump automation system and monitor water levels in the tank using sensors. The research methods used include literature studies to obtain theoretical basis and relevant references, tool design that includes system design and component selection, tool assembly process to integrate components according to the design, tool testing to evaluate system performance, and data analysis to assess the system's reliability in detecting water levels and quality. The developed system uses an Arduino Uno R3 for the control center, an ultrasonic sensor to detect water levels, and a pH meter sensor to monitor water levels. Data from the sensors is displayed via an LCD panel, users to monitor water levels and water levels directly. This research results in ease of management and monitoring of water pH levels.
