Abstract

The manufacturing sector is highly diverse, ranging from small to large-scale industries. This research focuses on a small-scale industry, specifically MSME Sidomukti, a powdered spice drink business located in Sukoharjo. The business faces two primary challenges: (1) the lack of a significant increase in product sales, and (2) intense competition from companies offering similar products. The objectives of this study are to (1) identify the internal and external factors influencing the business and (2) implement development strategies. This research provides benefits by (1) identifying the internal and external factors that affect business growth and (2) potentially increasing sales, which impacts the overall development and sustainability of the business. The methodology employed is a combination of Resource-Based View (RBV), Porter's Five Forces, and SWOT Analysis. The results indicate that Sidomukti possesses a sustainable competitive advantage in terms of management and relationships. The proposed strategic recommendations include: (1) rebranding products to enhance appeal and differentiation; (2) shifting distribution channels to focus on direct sales through online shops; and (3) improving production efficiency while identifying more competitive alternative suppliers.
