Abstract

The utilization of information technology is one solution to improve the operational efficiency of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in managing sales transactions. Warung Bakso Moro Tresno in Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, previously relied on a manual cashier system, which posed risks of recording errors, service delays, and potential loss of transaction data. This study aims to design and implement a web-based cashier system to improve recording accuracy and transaction effectiveness. The system was developed using the Waterfall method, which includes requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages, and was built using PHP with the Laravel framework and a MySQL database. System performance was validated through Black Box Testing, while usability was evaluated using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The results show that all modules functioned properly without deviations, achieving an average SUS score of 76 in the Good category. This indicates that the system has good usability and is suitable for supporting the operational activities of Warung Bakso Moro Tresno.
