Abstract
The development of digital technology opens up opportunities for students to learn the basics of informatics according to their interests. At the junior high school level, informatics learning can help students understand logical thinking concepts gradually. However, learning that still applies theoretical methods and the lack of interactive media makes student engagement and understanding less than optimal. This study aims to develop Python Pathways, an educational board game connected to software in the form of a website designed as an interactive learning medium to introduce the basics of the Python programming language. The use of the ADDIE model in development involves five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The trial was conducted on students of Muhammadiyah Sinar Fajar Junior High School by observing play activities and measuring learning outcomes through pre-tests and post-tests. Data were tested using the N-Gain Score method to measure the increase in student understanding after the media application. The results showed that the post-test score increased compared to the pre-test. The N-Gain test reached 0.71 is classified as high validity. Therefore, this game can be used as an alternative learning tool to support students in understanding the basic concepts of Python.
