Abstract

The advancement of information technology has driven digitalization across various sectors, including healthcare services. Independent midwife practices in rural areas still face challenges in managing patient data and drug inventories, which are often handled manually, leading to risks of service delays and difficulties in tracking patients’ medical histories. This study aims to develop a web-based information system designed to support medical record documentation and drug inventory management in independent midwife practices. The development followed the Waterfall model, consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing phases. The system was built using the Laravel framework with a MySQL database and features patient management, electronic medical records, drug inventory control, practice schedules, and automated reporting. Black-box testing results show that all system functions perform as expected, significantly improving administrative efficiency and data accuracy. With this system, midwives can manage healthcare services in a more structured, fast, and accurate manner, thereby enhancing the quality of care in independent midwife practices.
