Abstract
Advances in traffic law enforcement technology, the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) system with an electronic ticketing system, aim to improve public order and compliance. The high rate of traffic violations in Surakarta City despite the implementation of the ETLE system makes this research very important. This study aims to evaluate the application of ETLE law in improving traffic order in Surakarta City and its legal basis. A descriptive juridical-empirical research methodology was used. This study was conducted at the Traffic Management Center (TMC) of the Surakarta Police. Interviews and literature reviews were used to collect data, which was then assessed qualitatively. The findings show that the system is effective in identifying violations and that the implementation of ETLE has been supported by adequate regulations and greater transparency in recording legal compliance. However, implementation in the field still faces various obstacles, including limited infrastructure, network disruptions, and uneven understanding of ETLE technology among personnel and the public. According to the research findings, ETLE can significantly improve traffic safety, but it still requires better facilities, socialization, and continuous monitoring
