Abstract

The development of information technology has enabled the use of digital media in the learning process to enhance student engagement and comprehension. This study aims to describe the implementation of Plotagon as an interactive learning medium for poetry reading materials at the senior high school level, as well as to describe students’ learning outcomes in poetry reading using Plotagon as an interactive learning medium. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method and was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta. The research data consist of information regarding the use of the Plotagon application as an interactive learning medium in poetry reading materials, as well as students’ learning outcome scores. The data sources were obtained from classroom learning activities and documents of students’ learning outcomes. The research subjects were students and Indonesian language teachers, while the research objects included the learning process and students’ learning outcomes. Data collection techniques involved interviews, documentation, and literature review. Data validity was ensured through methodological triangulation and informant review. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of Plotagon in poetry reading instruction was carried out in three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. Furthermore, the use of Plotagon as an interactive learning medium had a positive impact on both the learning process and students’ learning outcomes, as evidenced by students’ responses and documented learning outcome scores. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that Plotagon functions as an interactive learning medium that supports poetry reading skills at the senior high school level.
