Abstract
Delays and the inability to provide first aid contribute to high mortality rates from traffic accidents. In such situations, lay persons often become the first responders at the scene. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the knowledge and behavior of online motorcycle taxi drivers in providing first aid to traffic accident victims in Surakarta City. The study employed a quantitative correlational design with a cross-sectional approach involving 108 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of questionnaires assessing first aid knowledge and behavior, with data analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and first aid behavior among online motorcycle taxi drivers with a p-value of p-value = 0,001 (p < 0,05)
