Abstract
Selo Subdistrict, located on the slopes of Mount Merapi in Boyolali Regency, is characterized by steep topography and the dominance of young volcanic materials, which make the area highly susceptible to landslide disasters that may cause significant impacts on social, economic, physical, and environmental aspects. This condition represents a major problem due to the potential losses arising from landslide occurrences. This study aims to analyze the level of landslide disaster risk in Selo Subdistrict through the integration of hazard, vulnerability, and capacity components. The research employs a quantitative approach based on secondary data analyzed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The analytical stages include the assessment of landslide hazard, vulnerability, and community capacity using scoring and weighting methods, followed by spatial overlay techniques to generate a landslide risk map. The results show that landslide risk levels in Selo Subdistrict vary spatially among villages. Areas located on the upper slopes generally exhibit higher risk levels due to the combination of high hazard and vulnerability that are not fully offset by existing capacity, while areas on the lower slopes tend to fall into moderate to low risk categories. The variation in landslide risk across the study area reflects differences in the interaction between hazard, vulnerability, and capacity components, indicating that risk is not determined by a single factor but by the integration of these components
