Abstract

In the era of globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital transformation has become an urgent necessity for business actors, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The culinary sector, as one of the key pillars of the economy, is also encouraged to adopt technology to enhance efficiency and competitiveness. However, many MSME actors still face challenges in the monitoring and recording of production processes, which are often carried out manually. Manual processes are prone to delays, recording errors, and data loss. To address these issues, the author has developed a device based on the Internet of Things (IoT) as a solution, through a production monitoring and reporting system using an ESP32 microcontroller and ultrasonic sensors. This system enables automatic monitoring and recording of production results, as well as integration with a web-based application that displays real-time data. The implementation of this system improves time efficiency, data accuracy, and transparency in the soy sauce production process at the MSME level, while also supporting faster and more accurate decision-making.
