Abstract

In a volleyball game, players must have techniques in playing volleyball by mastering these basic techniques so that someone can play volleyball well. Passing is one of the most influential basic techniques in volleyball in terms of defense and the formation of attacks, passing itself consists of lower passing and upper passing. The upper pass is the ball that is lifted above the forehead and thrown back up, but because the movement process is done very quickly, the ball looks like it is reflected. This study aims to improve the accuracy of upper passing in order to get good results. This research is quantitative descriptive research. The method in this study uses a survey method with data collection instruments in the form of tests, interview guidelines, observation guidelines. The population in this study amounted to 30 students of IT Iqro Junior High School, Nogosari with a sample of 20 students. The sampling technique used in this study was to conduct a volleyball top passing skill test in the form of the AAHPER face wall-volley test as a reference. Based on the results of data analysis, the skill level of basic upper passing techniques in Volleyball Extracurricular Students of IT Iqro' Nogosari Junior High School, there are 3 students in the “excellent” category (15%); 5 students in the “good” category (20%); 9 students in the “sufficient” category (45%); 1 student in the ‘less’ category (5%); and 2 students in the “very less” category (10%). In the basic technique of passing over the students already have a fairly good technique. Thus it can be concluded that most of the upper passing skill levels of IT Iqro' Nogosari Junior High School Volleyball Extracurricular students are categorized as “sufficient”
