Abstract
Interpersonal communication in the process of transmitting cultural values in the Samin community in Blora, Central Java, amidst the increasingly rapid flow of globalization. As an indigenous community that still adheres to the teachings of Ki Samin Surosentiko, which include the values of honesty, simplicity, harmony, and mutual cooperation. The Samin community relies on interpersonal communication as the primary means of cultural inheritance from generation to generation. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, with informants consisting of traditional leaders, older generations of Samin, and younger generations. The results show that interpersonal communication in the Samin community runs through five main dimensions, namely openness, empathy, supportive behavior, positive behavior, and equality. These five dimensions form dialogic, mutually respectful, and adaptive communication, thus bridging differences between generations and strengthening the process of internalizing cultural values. Despite obstacles such as differences in communication styles and understanding of digital technology, the Samin community continues to demonstrate cultural resilience through intensive direct interaction. This study concludes that interpersonal communication plays a crucial role in maintaining the sustainability of Samin cultural values and is an effective strategy for preserving local cultural identity amidst the challenges of modernization.
