Abstract

This research examines the management of waqf assets at Pimpinan Cabang Muhammadiyah (PCM) Kartasura as an organizational nazhir (waqf manager). PCM Kartasura manages 43,182 m² of waqf assets with 123 certificates, most of which are neatly recorded. This management includes data collection, periodic reporting, utilization of information technology, as well as maintenance and development of productive and non-productive assets. Key challenges include the large volume of assets, the difficulty and cost of changing nazhir status to the organization, adapting to the new Ministry of Religious Affairs' E-AIW system, legalisation cost constraints, and asset legality issues. PCM Kartasura addresses these challenges through collaboration and increasing public awareness, as well as the active role of the Waqf Council in asset management. This management aligns with waqf principles and implements good governance, providing significant social and economic impact for the community.
