Abstract
This study aims to examine the relationship between hardiness and self-efficacy with problem-focused coping in special education teachers. The approach used is quantitative correlational with the population being special education teachers in Greater Solo using cluster random sampling technique and a sample of 100 teachers. This study used three scales, namely the problem-focused coping scale, the hardiness scale, and the self-efficacy scale, using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis showed a significant relationship between hardiness and self-efficacy with problem-focused coping in special school teachers in Greater Solo with a significance value of 0.000 (p< 0.01) and an F value of 146.787, thus proving that the major hypothesis in this study was accepted. There was also a significant positive relationship between hardiness and problem-focused coping (r = 0.839; p = 0.00; p < 0.01), thus accepting the first minor hypothesis. There is also a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and problem-focused coping (r = 0.834; p = 0.00; p < 0.01), thus the second minor hypothesis of this study is also accepted. The effective contribution in this study was 75.2% (R = 0.867; R Square = 0.752) with details of the hardiness variable having a greater influence of 39.3% and the self-efficacy variable of 35.8% with the remaining 24.8% influenced by other factor.
