Abstract
The Islamic economic system is based on rabbani principles, one of which is the principle of justice. This principle of justice must be upheld in all areas of human life, whether in the legal system at any level or in transactional activities such as buying and selling. In terms of trade or other economic transactions, this justice has a significant impact on the fair distribution of wealth and property, as evidenced by the distribution of wages or ujrah. The distribution of wages based on justice is important in Islamic economics, including in the wages associated with banking services at Islamic banks, including those in Indonesia. The DSN-MUI, as an Islamic institution in Indonesia, plays a key role in regulating and establishing sharia-based guidelines for banking activities in general, and specifically for the guidelines and limitations on the collection of fees from these transactions. This study aims to determine the Sharia regulations contained in banking products in Indonesian Islamic banks and analyse them from an Islamic legal perspective. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, where the author first explains the literal meaning of the term 'banking services' or 'khidmah mashrafiyyah', which is permitted by the Sharia to take ujrah from. The researcher then collected empirical data on the limits of the permissible taking of ujrah from banking services. Based on the fundamental meaning and empirical data, the researcher analysed DSN MUI fatwas related to banking services and containing provisions for ujrah. The results of this study show that not all products that are referred to as 'khidmah mashrafiyyah' and permitted
